82nd Annual Christmas Program Slated For Sunday Eastern Oklahoma State College music department will present the 82nd annual Candlelighting Christmas program to begin the season Sunday (Dec. 7). Director Paul Enis says “as usual, there will be two performances, the first at 5:00 p.m. and the second at 8:00 p.m., both in Mitchell Auditorium on the Wilburton campus and admission is free.” The Concert Choir, male quartet, male trio, and soloists will collectively present the Christmas musical, “Unspeakable Joy,” compiled, arranged and orchestrated by Lari Goss, with narrations by Claire Cloninger. “Good news of a great joy!, Cloninger says, “It is the joy of Christmas, the joy of knowing the One who was born at Christmas. The story of the stable and the star, the angels and the shepherds, the baby on a bed of straw, is delivered with the power to amaze us with its mercy and fill us with a joy unspeakable.” Soloists are Andrew Enis, Whitney Waldrop, Ethan Shaffer, Rebecca Herron, Callie Bush, Boomer Lowrie and Megan O’Connor. The male quartet includes Boomer Lowrie, T.J. Bray, Robert Miller and Ethan Shaffer with the male trio being Andrew Enis, Adam Hendricks and Paul Enis. The choir is made up of Billy Morgan of Camden, Ark; Dennis Linnens and Janice Linnens, Eufaula; Kari Herron, Tiffany Price and Ethan Shaffer, Hartshorne; Alyssa Latty, Kiowa; Rachel Herron and Rebecca Herron, Pittsburg; Crystal Needham, Quinton; Boomer Lowrie, Smithville; Megan O’Connor, Stigler; Corey Traylor, Talihina; Robert Miller, Vian; Cassandra Beale, T.J. Bray, Callie Bush, Allison Culberson, Andrew Enis, LaDonna Enis, Adam Hendricks, Spencer Ingram, Josh Kelly, Jon Ramirez and Whitney Waldrop, all from Wilburton “We are excited to present this very special Christmas musical to the community and surrounding area,” Director Paul Enis says. “Please come and join us as the true meaning of Christmas is shared through this excellent program.”
