Theatre' Eastern To Present
Lone Star Love Potion Theatre Eastern will present The Lone Star Love Potion by Michael Parker on Thursday, February 19th, Friday, February 20th, and Saturday, February 21st at 7:30pm in Mitchell Auditorium on the Wilburton campus of Eastern Oklahoma State College. This funny farce is set on a Texas ranch. Rich Edward Stancliffe's heirs have gathered to read his will. An assortment of neighbors has stopped in, a flash flood is sweeping through town, and love is in the air - or at least in a thermos. It seems that eccentric old Uncle Edward has left behind his company's secret formula - a thermos full of South American Love Potion. Of course, no one believes in love potions - or do they? As the characters plot and question, hilarious hi-jinks ensue. Nothing is as it seems, but in the end, one thing is certain - The Lone Star Love Potion is packed with laughs as big as Texas! Don't miss this feel-good comedy for adult audiences, starring: Wilburton freshman, Callie Bush as Melody, the clutzy maid; Vian sophomore, Robert Miller as Jarvis, the butler; Hartshorne sophomore, Tiffany Price as Patrice Leadley, Mr. Stancliffe's niece; Smithville sophomore, Boomer Lowrie as her wayward husband, Michael Leadley; Hartshorne freshman, Joshua Billie as Mr. Oakfield, the lawyer; Pittsburg sophomore, Rachel Herron as Tammy-Jo Harper, a neighboring rancher; and Panola sophomore, Katie Foster as Mary-Lou Winston, a dowdy scientist studying the local woodpeckers.
Tickets for The Lone Star Love Potion will be available at the door, starting one hour before each performance. Tickets are $3 for general admission, and Free for all Eastern students, faculty, and staff. For more information call director Melissa Heath-Lee at 918-465-1758. Potion Caption #1 (right):
