Annual Math Competition Features Area Middle School Students

Nearly 30 middle school students from five area schools competed recently during the annual Southeast Regional Mathcounts competition held on the Wilburton campus of Eastern Oklahoma State College. The top teams finishing the competition included Spiro in third place followed by Kiowa in second and Stilwell in first.

Students capturing top 10 individual honors included from back left: Kaden Aary in 10th place from Spiro Middle School followed by Dalton Howerton, 9th place, Spiro Middle School; Sarah Cole, 8th place, Kiowa Middle School; Joshua Essary, 7th place, Stilwell Middle School and Carley Stout in 6th place from Spiro Middle School.
