New Scoreboard Donated
To Local College Eastern Oklahoma State College Athletic Director and Baseball Coach Aric Thomas, left, presents Sooner Coca Cola General Manager Ron Hutto with a baseball cap recently after the McAlester company donated $10,000 for the purchase of a new scoreboard at the baseball field on the campus of the Wilburton college. "We were looking for a way to be more involved with the community," Hutto said. "What better way than to donate to our local community college." Thomas hopes to have the new scoreboard in place before the college hosts it's first home game scheduled Feb. 14th. "The new scoreboard will enhance a program that has already been very successful," Thomas added. We finished 15th in the nation last year and we have been ranked as high as 13th in the nation in this year's pre-season polls."
