Two From Texas To Play College Hoops

Marissa Medrana, left, a 2007 graduate of
Greenville, Texas and Rocio Medrano-Lopez, a 2009 graduate of Greenville,
Texas signed letters of intent to play basketball for Coach Andy Mace
and Eastern Oklahoma State College recently. Medrana who is 6'4" and
was an All-District Player in highschool will transfer from Eastfield
College in Dallas. Medrano has been playing AAU basketball with other
Dallas area college players during the past two years and will have
two years of eligibility while at Eastern. Medrano-Lopez who is 5'11" was
also an All-District player. She averaged 22.1 pts. per game and had
a high schoreof 36 during her senior season. Both girls are originally
from the Mexican state of Chihuahua and are related to Eduardo Najera,
former OU All-American and Dallas Mavericks player.
