Science Division Announces Outstanding Graduate Andrew Ethan Enis was presented the Outstanding Social Science and Music Division Graduate Award by Division Chairman Marilyn Duncan, during commencement exercises Friday (May 8) on the Wilburton campus of Eastern Oklahoma State College. One graduate from each of the six divisions of the college is selected each year for the honor. During commencement, five other students were also named as Outstanding Divisional Graduates including: Julie Weeks from McAlester, Division of Language and Education; Cole Dalmont, McAlester, Division of Science and Mathematics; Erica Gantz, Purcell, Division of Agriculture; Sarah Hayslip, Center, TX, Division of Business and Robin Burke, Talihina, Division of Nursing. While at Eastern, Enis maintained a 3.62 grade point average, was on the President’s and Dean’s Honor Rolls, a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and named to Who’s Who Among American Junior Colleges. He was a Presidential Scholar, received two memorial scholarships from Wilburton High School, a music scholarship and received Eastern foundation scholarship his freshman and sophomore years and recently received the Oklahoma State University Extension Center Scholarship. He has been active in Eastern’s Mountaineer Band, part of the Sound Sensations, The Concert Choir, Eastern’s Spring Musicals and Candlelighting festivities. Enis plans to attend the University of Arkansas where he has been awarded a music scholarship in the music program and percussion studio. He is the son of Paul and LaDonna Enis of Wilburton.
