Annual Candlelighting To Kick Off Holiday Season

Eastern Oklahoma State College music Department will present the 83rd annual Candlelighting Christmas program to begin the holiday season Sunday (December 6 ).

Director Paul Enis says “as usual, there will be two performances, the first at 5:00 p.m. and the second at 8:00 p.m., both in Mitchell Auditorium on the Wilburton campus and admission is free.”

The Concert Choir, guests and soloists will collectively present the Christmas musical, “We Come With Joy,” written by Danny and Debby Lance.

Student soloists will be Felecia Parker, Emily Enis, Joseph Shaffer, Hannah Smith and Aubrey Isenhower.  Guest soloists will be Steve Tommey of Eufaula, Jackie Joyce of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Sarah Fazekas of Wilburton.  Narration will be done by T.J. Bray and Laura Myers.

Student participants are:  Jennifer Widener of Coweta; Felicia Parker, Eufaula; Jennifer Clanton, Glenpool; Hannah Smith, Haileyville; Aubrey Isenhower, Quinton; Naomi Long, Savanna; Boomer Lowrie, Smithville; Corey Traylor, Talihina; with Jared Bills, T.J. Bray, Allison Culberson, Emily Enis, Cord Forwoodson, Tim Johnson, Jeremiah Kelly, Josh Kelly, Joseph Laudero, Laura Myers, Jennifer Pearson, Joseph Shaffer, Matt Steele and Caleb Woten all of Wilburton.

Guests singers will be Dennis Linnens, Janice Linnens, Joe Reiter, Linda Reiter and Steve Tommey of Eufaula; Marianne Biggs, Tracy Faulkner and Kackie Joyce, Fort Smith, AR; Crystal Needham, Quinton; LaDonna Enis and Sarah Fazekas, Wilburton.
