
College Music Department To
Present Fall Concert

Eastern
Oklahoma State College Music Department will present the annual Fall
Concert, to be held 7 p.m. Thursday (October 1) in Eastern’s
New Student Center Ballroom on the Wilburton campus.
The program will feature Eastern’s Concert Choir and
Sound Sensations presenting an hour-long concert.
Music Department Chairman Paul Enis says the choral program
will feature an evening of Patriotic music, including God Bless America, I Am
America, God Bless the USA, The Pledge of Allegiance, God Shed Your Grace on
Us, From Where I Stand, Armed Forces Medley, Taps, and The Battle Hymn of the
Republic.
Eastern’s Sound Sensations will perform our Pretty Woman
Medley and If Bubba Can Dance, made famous by the country group, Shenandoah.
“On behalf of the Eastern Music Department, I extend
this special invitation to everyone in our area to join us in this evening of
entertainment by our student musicians,” Enis said.
“We would like to extend an invitation for everyone
to come and support our students as they present what they’ve worked so
diligently to produce.”
Student participants are: Jennifer Widener
of Coweta; Felicia Parker, Eufaula; Jennifer Clanton, Glenpool; Hannah
Smith, Haileyville; Aubrey Isenhower, Quinton; Naomi Long, Savanna;
Boomer Lowrie, Smithville; J.W. Mooers and Corey Traylor, Talihina;
with Jared Bills, T.J. Bray, Allison Culberson, Emily Enis, Cord Forwoodson,
Tim Johnson, Jeremiah Kelly, Josh Kelly, Joseph Laudero, Laura Myers,
Jennifer Pearson, Joseph Shaffer, Matt Steele, and Caleb Woten all
from Wilburton.
The Choir and Sound Sensations are co-directed by Paul Enis
and Mary Ford, with Ms. Ford accompanying and Mr. Enis conducting.
“As always,” Enis said, “admission
to the concert is free. |
