
Livestock Judging Team Sweeps
Both Divisions At Tri-State Fair

Oklahoma State College Livestock Judging Team took both Junior College
Novice and Junior College Pro Divisions at the Tri-State Fair Livestock
Judging Competition in Amarillo, Texas, last week (September 19).
There were more than 100 participants in the contest with
schools from Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Colorado in competition team coach
Todd Blocker said.
The Wilburton college team had six individuals in the top
10 novice competition with a team total of 3078 points beating second place Clarendon
College team by 18 points. Eastern scored 3090 total team points to nudge out
second place Redlands College by 14 points to take the Junior College Pro Competition.
In Junior College Pro, Colton Downing, Grove, scored 630 points
to take high individual with Shane Smith, Quinton, taking second with 627 and
Kirk Vickery, Minco, taking 619 points.
Stewart Harbin, Blairsville, GA, took first with 625 total
points in the Junior College Novice competition followed by Kenton Pugh, Quinton,
in second with 623; Chris Hall, Oklahoma City, 619, fourth; Chris Hofschulte,
Wyandotte, 619, fifth; Jay Williams, McAlester, 619, sixth and Kyle Norvell,
Amber, 618, placing seventh.
