Maria G. Arroyo, Wilburton, (not pictured)
Life Science Major
Maria is a Health Occupation Student of America, Inducted
in the American Dental Assistant Association May 2008. She
is an active member of Phi Theta Kappa, National Technical
Honors Society, Outstanding Student Award 2008, Certificate
of Excellence-Dean Vaughn Medical Terminology Exam, and State
of Oklahoma Office of the Governor Career Readiness Certificate
(Bronze), Certificate of Appreciation through the Red Cross. She
does work-study with the library is an active volunteer in
the Oklahoma Dental Foundation and is also a Dental Assistant
Volunteer (My Dentist, Tulsa, OK) |

Krystal A. Baker, McAlester,
Major: Journalism
Krystal is a Member of the Photo Club and Statesman and the
Mountaineer Yearbook. She has a been the Editor of
the Statesman for two years, won various awards including
Editor for Top Overall Newspaper-NSU, Editor for Top Overall
Newspaper-OCPA, Top Journalism student 2008-2009, Top Photography
student 2008-2009, and place third as Opinion Writer-NSU. |

Randy D. Bean, Broken Bow,
Major: Agriculture Education
He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Eastern Student Government
Association and the Aggie Club. He is also President
of Phi Theta Kappa. He has placed second in Crop judging
freshman division 2008, in Soils Judging Freshman Division
2008 and in Forestry Judging Freshman Division 2008. He
works part time and is the Residential Assistant for Miller
Hall dormitory. |

Major: General Studies
Kaleb is a sophomore member of the Eastern Oklahoma State
College Baseball Team. |

Kody L. Briggs, Antlers
Major: Agriculture Economics
Kody is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and the Aggie Club. In
2008 he received 1st place for Intercollegiate judging in
Horticulture and 3rd place Forestry and in 2009 he received
the American FFA Degree. Kody does RCE hours on campus,
is a mentor for FFA/4-H kids, works part time at Gardeners
Grocery, and is an active member of the First Baptist Youth
Group. |

Major: General Studies
Edward is a sophomore member of the Eastern Oklahoma State
Baseball Team |

April Chandler Caraway, Wilburton
Major: Criminal Justice
April is a member in several clubs including NAACP, Psycho
Club, Photography Club, Honors and Phi Theta Kappa. She
is the Student Senate Representative from the Psycho Club
and Treasury for the Photo Club. She volunteers 5-10
hours weekly for the college cafeteria. She also does
volunteer twice a month for a local nursing home in McAlester. |

Megan Carline, McAlester
Major: Business Administration
Megan is a member and president of Phi Beta Lambda and dedicated
in ESGC as Satellite Campus Officer and the McAlester Campus
Student Activities Leader. She received a 10+ rating with
the Honors Club. Megan is a homemaker who still finds
time to be an active member at the King’s House, door
greeter, and holding a part time job cleaning. She
is also the State Parliamentarian for the Oklahoma Chapter
of PBL. |

Major: Administrative Office Technology – Medical
Option
Teresa is work-study for Business Division Chairperson Kay
Langham. Teresa also cares for her mother and children. She
is an active church member and does light house keeping for
several of her church members. |

Caitlin S. Clifton, McAlester (not pictured)
Major: Life Science
Caitlin is a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Caitlin volunteers
as a classroom assistant at Krebs Elementary, volunteers
at Heartland Hospice and takes care of the family’s
livestock. |

Ronita L. Coleman, Edmond
Major: Elementary Education
Ronita is a member of the Women’s Eastern Oklahoma
State College Basketball team, the Psycho Club and the NAACP. |

Severt A. Dahl, Clayton
Major: General Studies
Severt is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, vice president of
the Photo Club, on the Leadership team of the Baptist Collegiate
Ministry and is also with the NASA-Native American Student
Association. Severt is an active Assistant Youth Aid at Choctaw
Nation Youth Center and work-study in the Computer Science
Department. Severt serves as a sponsor for the Choctaw
Nation Youth advisory Board and volunteer for the Choctaw
Nation Healthy Lifestyle. |

Kevin W. Danel, Hartshorne
Major: Computer Information Systems (Business)
Kevin is in Phi Beta Lambda where he holds the office of
vice president and is a State Officer- Reporter. He
is also the Assistant Secretary in the Psychology Club. Kevin
is also in Phi Theta Kappa and NASA-Native American Student
Association. Kevin received numerous awards for his
PBL activities. At the State PBL Leadership Conference
he won 1st in Computer Concepts, 1st in Computer Applications-State
Level and place 6th in Computer Applications at the National
PBL Leadership Conference. Kevin also receive the Spring
2009 Phi Beta Lambda Gold Medal Award and was named to the
Who’s Who in PBL. |

Major: Psychology
Elizabeth is active in her church, works at Komar and baby
sits. |
