Eastern fills two key leadership positions

WILBURTON, OK (Jan. 10, 2012) – Eastern Oklahoma State College has made two new hires for key leadership positions at the college. Eastern has named Treva Kennedy as the new director of institutional advancement and Richard Lynes as the new director of the physical plant.
Kennedy, an Eastern alumna originally from Vinita, will be responsible for special project and program fundraising, alumni relations and the coordination of special events and grant writing efforts.
She brings 26 years of experience in public relations and foundation and development fundraising to Eastern. She previously held a variety of positions in the health care industry, including work at the Tulsa Regional Medical Center, Coffeyville Regional Medical Center and St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo. Kennedy earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Oklahoma State University.
Lynes will manage the overall operations of the physical plant department, including the performance of maintenance and custodial tasks for the proper upkeep of all facilities, the design and construction of renovations, the purchase of equipment and supplies, and the compliance of hazardous, environmental, health and safety programs.
He comes to Eastern with 22 years of experience in physical plant and health and safety operations. He previously worked at UGL Services, a company that provides outsourced custodial, grounds, and maintenance services. He had been with them since 1996. While with UGL, he worked at the University of Miami and Tulane University and spent the last four years providing oversight at Connors State College, as well as several other locations throughout the state.
