WILBURTON, OK (Jan. 20, 2012) – Eastern Oklahoma State College’s Mountaineer Radio recently announced the addition of apps for Android and Blackberry phones. The new technology was added after the popularity of the station’s iPhone app.

Doug Sims, general manager, said listeners now have the option to stream Mountaineer Radio’s “Best Mix” on the go.

“The new apps are a great way for us to cater to our listeners,” Sims said. “People can now hear local and national news, a variety of music and our live remotes anytime and anywhere.”

To get the app, listeners need to search their phone’s app store for “TuneIn Radio.” Once the free app is installed, listeners can search for and choose “Mountaineer Radio” to begin the stream.

The Mountaineer Morning Show with Dougo airs live Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Also, Mountaineer Radio will broadcast live from the Wilburton High School basketball game against Talihina on Feb. 10 at 6:30 p.m. and Eastern’s men’s and women’s basketball games against Western Oklahoma State College on Feb. 23 beginning at 6 p.m.

Mountaineer Radio is also available on the web at radio.eosc.edu. For more information about Mountaineer Radio or to get detailed instructions and tips on using the app, visit the station’s Facebook page at facebook.com/mountaineerradio and select “Streaming Info.”
