Eastern receives grant for environmental cleanup

WILBURTON, OK (Jan. 31, 2012) – Eastern Oklahoma State College has received a $200,000 Brownfields cleanup grant from the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).
Eastern will use the grant for asbestos abatement of the former E.T. Dunlap Student Union building. Once abatement is complete, the building will be demolished and a veteran’s memorial and nature park will be built in its place.
