PBL Students Win Big At National Leadership Conference

Phi Beta Lambda members at Eastern Oklahoma State College recently received five awards from the National Phi Beta Lambda Leadership Conference in Long Beach, Calif.

Participants included Gary Gibson, Jennifer Harden, and Tracy Steed, Wilburton; Miranda Ross and RaShonda Hutchings, McAlester; Sarah Hairrell, Clayton; Loretta Peevyhouse, Stigler; and co-advisors Estella Bennett-Mask of the business administration department and Linda Morgan, the office administration chairperson.

With 45 participants in the preliminary round of the job interview competition, Steed took first place.

The team of Harden, Peevyhouse, and Ross placed third in their community service project.

Placing fourth in American enterprise project was the team of Gibson, Hairrell, and Steed. The oral part of their project was formatted to the popular game show "The Price is Right."

Hutchings placed sixth in the Word Processing competition and came in seventh in the local chapter annual business report.
