Obviously, Eastern’s tuition is affordable and with extensive need-based financial aid and scholarships, Eastern is even more of a bargain! Depending on your situation, you could be eligible for the following scholarships: academic, departmental, Development Foundation, Presidential, or activity. Federal and state grants (free money), loans, and even student jobs are also available. To find out what you are eligible for, complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Eastern scholarship applications by March 1. The FAFSA application can be obtained from Eastern’s Financial Aid Office, at the McAlester campus, from high school counselors, or can be completed online. Eastern’s financial aid code for your application is 003155. When you list Eastern on your FAFSA application, the school will receive your data electronically and will then follow up by sending you a letter. Remember, the best way to obtain financial aid is to apply early –by March 1st of your senior year. Eastern’s financial aid team will work closely with you to ensure that the necessary forms are filed and that every possible financial resource is pursued. As a result of our teamwork, over 70% of Eastern’s students receive some form of financial assistance.
