Does Eastern provide me with an E-mail account?

Yes. Eastern provides E-mail accounts for all enrolled students. Your account is maintained for a period of two years, so you will have the same E-mail address for your entire time at Eastern.

Where do I get my E-mail account information?

To find out about your e-mail account, please browse the Student e-mail Directory by following this link:  http://www.eosc.edu/directories/studdir.htm.   Your account information is also printed on the faculty class rosters.  Ask any of your instructors, they'll be happy to assist you.

What's my password?

Your initial password is the last four digits or your social security number.

Should I change my E-mail password?

Yes. All Internet E-mail accounts are built with a default password and should be changed as soon as possible to protect your mail account.

How do I change my password?

The Change Password screen allows you to change your password. You will be required to enter your username and current password to gain access to this screen. The Change Password screen will prompt you to enter a new password twice. The password requires the entry of 4 to16 alpha-numeric characters, including spaces and punctuation marks except colon.

If the two passwords entered match, the Change Password screen is displayed with the message"Your password has been scheduled for change!" Your password will be changed once the system processes your request. The system processes password change requests on the hour and every ten minutes thereafter.

If the two passwords entered do not match, the Change Password screen is displayed with the error message "The passwords did not match, please re-enter your new password." Your password will not be changed until the two password entered on this screen match. Click on the Re-enter password button to return to the Change Password screen to change your password.

If you leave the password blank or enter an invalid password, the Change Password screen will be displayed with the error message "Invalid password, please choose another." Click on the Re-enter password button to return to the Change Password screen to change your password.
