Eastern to host three summer baseball camps
WILBURTON, OK (May 12, 2017) – Eastern Oklahoma State College is set to host three baseball camps in Wilburton this summer for local youth and high school students.
The youth camps, for ages six through 12, will focus on the fundamental skills of baseball including the essential skills of throwing, fielding, hitting and base running. The camps are scheduled for May 22-23 and May 30-31 and cost $40 each. Both camps will take place from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. with registration starting 30 minutes prior to the first day of each camp.
A Showcase Camp for current high school athletes is set for June 5. The Showcase Camp will cost $75 and has been slated to begin at 9 a.m. This camp is an opportunity to receive recruiting exposure and instruction from Eastern’s coaches and current players, many of whom participated in a Showcase Camp while still in high school. Participants will be evaluated at their respective positions, run a 60-yard dash and practice batting, all in the style of a professional try-out camp. Registration for the Showcase Camp will start at 8:30 a.m. on the day of camp.
Participants must bring a completed registration form and signed liability waiver to their camp’s registration, or have a parent or legal guardian available to sign. For more information or to download a registration form, visit eoscbaseballcamps.com or call 918-465-1704.
