Eastern Oklahoma State College is a comprehensive community college providing instruction in a wide range of curricula. 

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Master’s Degree in Agronomy or Plant and Soil Science or related field with 18 graduate hours in agronomy or plant and soil sciences; candidates pursuing the Master’s Degree may be considered with the understanding the degree must be completed expeditiously.
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Ph.D. in Agronomy or Plant and Soil Science, communication skills, and a commitment to Eastern’s Mission.

Responsibilities: 

  • The successful candidate will serve as a faculty member in the Agriculture Division with primary teaching responsibility in the area of plant and soil science
  • Serve as the Academic Advisor to agronomy, horticulture, and agriculture education majors.
  • Actively recruit prospective students for the institution
  • Manage and promote the college greenhouse and manage the assigned budget
  • Develop and instruct courses with technology-based delivery methods
  • Assist Agriculture Division with youth and adult outreach activities
  • Serve as a cohesive member of the Agriculture Staff
  • Participate in Institutional service
  • Continue in the pursuit of professional development
  • Other duties as assigned

Salary:  Compensation will commensurate with education and experience.
