STAFF: Administrative Assistant-Physical Plant


Eastern Oklahoma State College is a comprehensive community college providing instruction in a wide range of curricula. 


  • Associate degree preferred; high school diploma or an approved equivalent required. Education and experience may be substituted.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • Must be self-motivated and able to handle several tasks at the same time;
  • Strong computer skills required; Proficiency in Microsoft Office, e-mail, and student correspondence; experience with budgets and purchase orders preferred.
  • Previous secretarial experience preferred, excellent communication and organizational skills required;
  • Ability to interact well with students, families, high school personnel, and departments throughout campus;

  • Perform clerical duties to support the Physical Plant including typing, filing, data entry, scheduling appointments, processing mail, answering phones, ordering supplies, etc.
  • Input all purchase order requests for the physical plant;
  • Assign and complete work orders for Wilburton and McAlester campuses;
  • Check in UPS/FedEx freight and large truck deliveries;
  • Monitor purchases, contracts and accounts ensuring accuracy and meeting all established deadlines, to include timely payments to vendors;
  • Maintains a variety of records, supplies, calendar, schedules and files such as construction and fleet records;
  • Prepares travel roster and assigns all vehicles for travel from Wilburton campus;
  • Track and maintain all fleet information, including mileage, number and type of vehicles, vehicle work orders and vehicle repairs;
  • Complete monthly fleet statements/billings for various departments;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary:  Salary will be commensurate with education and experience; Estimated range is $10.60 - $11.50 ($22,048 - $23,920)
