Advance common area of support staff interest: professional growth and practices, staff welfare, safety standards, institutional philosophy, communication and student welfare.
Enhance support staff participation in determining appropriate fiscal and institutional priorities, support staff duties and authority, and administrative responsibilities including levels of authority.
The Eastern Oklahoma State College Staff Council recognizes those individuals who demonstrate excellence in their job. Online nominations may be made by students, faculty or staff at any time. One staff member will be selected for the award each quarter of the calendar year.
The J.C. Hunt Award is presented annually to the professional or support staff employee who has exhibited exemplary service throughout the year as recognized by his or her peers. The honoree is recognized at the annual Sapphire Ball scholarship fundraising event in March. Nominations for the 2027 J.C. Hunt Award will open in the fall of 2026.
