Eastern Oklahoma State College

Exam Proctoring

Proctoring Guidelines

Eastern prides itself in following all the guidelines given by professors to proctors. We expect that students demonstrate integrity in all their academic work. Cheating, obtaining copies of exams, and any violation (i.e. cell phone usage, etc.) will be reported to the professor, the institution's proctoring representative, and the Vice President of Academic Affairs at the student's institution.

Students need to provide government-issued identification, such as a driver's license or military ID, in order to be eligible for proctoring. Eastern students may use their school-issued ID. Students are then given the specific instructions for the exam. Each professor provides these instructions/procedures to the proctors and they cannot be changed by the proctor.

Remote Exam Proctoring

Web-based, remote test proctoring is designed to provide students and faculty an online learning environment with on-demand proctored exams. This enables students to test online, anytime and anywhere, with integrity. Students may take their exams from the convenience of their own homes rather than traveling to campus or another location.

Honorlock

This remote proctoring system integrates seamlessly with Blackboard by means of a Chrome extension that can be easily removed and added back later. Additionally, Honorlock is completely controlled by the instructor with real-time video updates as soon as students finish testing.
