Next Steps

You're in. Now what? Now that you've applied for admission and been accepted to Eastern Oklahoma State College, check off the following list to make sure you've done everything needed to have a successful start in college. 

1. Send Us Your Records

To complete your student file, please submit the following items to the Registrar's Office. All records, forms and applications should be emailed to admissions@eosc.edu or mailed to:

• Official Test Scores (Optional):

  Includes National ACT, Residual ACT, ACCUPLACER, CLEP test scores. Eastern is currently using a multiple measures program for course placement. Students are encouraged to submit ACT or SAT scores, however, with multiple measures, students who have graduated from high school within the last seven years may use their final high school GPA and courses for placement. Visit the Testing Information webpage for more information about available testing.

• Immunization Records:

  Oklahoma state law requires that all new students attending Oklahoma colleges and universities for the first time provide proof of immunization for: Hepatitis B (three doses) and Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR - two doses), A meningitis vaccine is strongly encouraged (but not required) if you are living in campus housing. Students can be exempt from these requirements under certain conditions. Please complete and submit the Certificate of Vaccination Compliance or Exemption Form. Additional information can be found on the Oklahoma State Department of Health's website.

• Official Transcripts:

  • High School Students: Request that your high school counselor send an official, sealed transcript (after high school graduation date and final grades are posted). For concurrently enrolled high school students, visit the Concurrent Student Admission webpage to learn more.

  • GED Recipients: Request that your GED testing center send an official, sealed copy of your scores.

  • Adult Students: Students who are 21 years of age or older or on active military duty may be admitted based on criteria established at the campus level and submitted to and approved by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. Students admitted under the adult admissions category must demonstrate proficiency in the curricular requirements related to their degree. Any student who (a) is not a high school graduate but whose high school class has graduated and (b) has participated in the (ACT) American College Testing program is eligible for admission to Eastern. The ACT test is administered regularly at Eastern.

  • Veterans: Veterans who plan to attend Eastern should contact the Office of Veteran Affairs to apply for benefits. For more details and contact information, please visit the Veterans Services webpage.

  • International Students: Students from other countries who have completed their secondary education or its equivalent are eligible for admission to Eastern. For more details and contact information, please visit the International Student Admissions webpage.

  • Transfer Students: Eastern accepts transfer students who meet the conditions set forth by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and are in good academic standing. Students must submit official college transcripts from all institutions previously attended. Students with less than a 2.00 GPA will be admitted for the first semester on academic probation. At the end of the first semester, a student must have a semester GPA of 2.00 in college coursework, not including activity or performance courses. Students not maintaining these standards will be placed on suspension. More information on transferring to Eastern can be found on the Transfer Admissions webpage.

2. Apply for Financial Aid & Scholarships

Apply for financial aid at fafsa.gov and list Eastern’s financial aid code as 003155. Any student who completes the Admissions Application by January 15 for the following academic year will automatically be considered for all scholarships (Institutional, Foundation, Departmental, etc.).  There is no additional scholarship application. 3. Meet with an Academic Adviser to Enroll in Classes

After all admission requirements have been met, you will be assisted by an academic adviser or instructor to select your classes and career goals. Visit the Enrollment webpage to search for available classes and contact information for academic advisers.

4. Determine your Book and Supply Needs

Depending on the courses you selected at enrollment, you may need to purchase books, ebooks, access codes, or other supplies required for your coursework. You may look up the books and supplies needed for each specific course in Self Service or the EOSC Bookstore website. 

5. Apply for Housing (if applicable)

For students planning to live on campus in Wilburton, your home away from home will be more than just a place to eat and sleep. At Eastern, there's a strong feeling of community. Visit the Student Housing webpage for additional information on Eastern's housing options including costs and how to apply.

6. Pick up your Parking Permit (Wilburton Campus Only)

Parking permits are required for students on the Wilburton Campus only. Visit the Office of Student Services on the 2nd floor of the Tourtellotte Student Center to pick up your parking permit. A photo ID and your vehicle's make, model, year and license plate number will be needed for documentation.

7. Log into Self Service and Make a Refund Selection

All students must make a refund selection in Self Service regardless of whether they are receiving Financial Aid or not. Visit the MyEOSC webpage to learn how to log in to Self Service. There is an additional instruction sheet available to assist with making your refund selection.

8. Get Your Mountaineer Card (Student ID)

• Residential Students: For students living on campus in Wilburton, a Mountaineer Card is required to use your meal plan in the Cafeteria.
• All EOSC Students: If you did not designate your own checking or savings account to receive your financial aid disbursement, you must obtain a Mountaineer Card.
• Visit the Business Office webpage to learn more about the Mountaineer Card and how to get one. 

9. Access Eastern Technology

The MyEOSC webpage is a great resource for the technology you'll need to be successful at Eastern, including EOSC Email, Blackboard, Self Service, Navigate, Office 365, and more. The MyEOSC webpage describes each technology, how it's used, and how you can log in with your username and password.
