WILBURTON, Okla. – Eastern Oklahoma State College has hired Brock Moss as its new head coach for baseball.
“I would like to thank Dr. Wansick, Athletic Director Al Davis and the rest of the Mountaineer family for entrusting me and the new coaching staff to lead the young men at Eastern to continue working toward our everyday goals, academically and athletically,” Moss said. “My family and I are ecstatic to be joining the Mountaineer family, as well as the new coaching staff. We look forward to the challenge of continuing the level of success Coach [Matt] Parker and his staff established. We are ready to put our heads down, get in the mud and work toward kicking down that door to the World Series in Grand Junction.”
Moss joins the Mountaineers from Coastal Alabama East Community College in Brewton, Ala. where he spent the 2022 baseball season as the head coach. During his tenure, the Warhawks spent four weeks in the top 10 of the Alabama Community College Conference standings and had four players earn Player of the Week honors.
“We are very happy to have Coach Moss and his family join the Eastern family,” said Al Davis, Eastern Athletic Director. “Coach Moss brings great leadership skills, knowledge and experience that will keep Eastern baseball as one of the best programs, not only in Oklahoma but in the country. We aren’t just getting a great baseball coach, but a great person who will have a positive impact on young men’s lives on and off the field.”
Moss previously served as the recruiting coordinator and pitching coach at Texas A&M International University where he oversaw the recruiting of a top 35 recruiting class in 2021.
Moss earned his master’s degree from Greenville University and his bachelor’s degree from Sterling College where he played baseball for three years.
