WILBURTON, OK (Oct. 01, 2021) – Eastern Oklahoma State College’s Music Department will present its annual Fall Concert Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Mitchell Auditorium in Wilburton.
The event will feature performances by the College Band and College Choir. Admission is free and open to the general public.
Renditions of Ed Lojeski’s “Phantom of the Opera,” R. Bernard Fitzgerald’s “English Suite” and Mary Lynn Lightfoot’s “Cantate Hodie! (Sing Today)” are just a sample of the night’s lineup.
Eastern Instructor of Music Brian T. Harris will lead his students in this showcase of talent. Cheryl Wood-Myers will accompany the performances.
“I have had a great time working with both our student and community musicians and am looking forward to a fantastic fall concert,” said Harris. “I would encourage our campus and local communities to come out and experience the wonderful talent in our area.”
Students and community members performing this year include James Benefield of McAlester; Elton Baird of La Marque, Texas; Trystin Garvin, Janice Forwoodson, Karren Palmieri Majors, Leila Aaron, Melanie Harris, Sarah Martinez, Jessica Pike, Maurice Hawthorne and Wayne Vogt of Wilburton and Pat Ratliff of Poteau.
