Eastern Oklahoma State College Names 2025 Outstanding Graduates

Eastern Oklahoma State College named its 2025 Outstanding Graduates at the Commencement Ceremony on May 2. 1) Respiratory Therapy Program Director Dr. Peggy Spears and Respiratory Therapy honoree Delanie Shoup. 2) Spears and Respiratory Therapy honoree Landon Lynch. 3) Dean of Language, Humanities and Education Kristen Turner and Language, Humanities and Education honoree Geralyn Haney. 4) Meat Processing and Food Safety Instructor Jade Edwards and Agriculture honoree Maebrey Wallace. 5) Director of Nursing Gina Bullock and Nursing honoree Holly Wilson. 6) Dean of Behavioral and Social Sciences Dr. Carter Mattson and Behavioral and Social Sciences honoree Haylee Baker. 7) Dean of Science and Mathematics Dr. Andrea Green and Science and Mathematics honoree Kennedy Edwards. 8) Dean of Business Brenda Strange and Business honoree Camden White.

WILBURTON, Oklahoma – Eastern Oklahoma State College recognized eight exceptional students as 2025 Outstanding Graduates during its commencement ceremony on May 2. Each student was selected by their respective academic division or department for outstanding academic achievement, leadership and career ambitions.

“These students represent everything we hope for in our Eastern graduates,” said EOSC President Dr. Janet Wansick. “They are each dedicated, involved and determined to succeed. They have made their mark here and we are excited to watch them thrive in their next chapters.”

Delanie Shoup of Wister, Oklahoma, was named one of two Outstanding Graduates representing the respiratory therapy program. She was on the President’s Honor Roll and was a member of the National Association for Associate Degree Respiratory Care and the Respiratory Therapy Club. Shoup has accepted a position at Mercy Fort Smith, where she plans to focus her clinical skills in critical care in the intensive care units and emergency room while continuing to gain expertise in the neonatal intensive care unit. She will also pursue a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy.

Landon Lynch of Centrahoma, Oklahoma, was also named an Outstanding Graduate for the respiratory therapy program. He served as president of the Respiratory Therapy Club and captain of Cohort 5. Lynch was also a member of NA2RC. He has accepted a position at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas, and will also pursue a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy.

Geralyn Haney of Stuart, Oklahoma, was named the Outstanding Graduate for the Language, Humanities and Education Division. She was named a Coca-Cola Silver Scholar, a member of the All-Oklahoma Academic Team, an Oklahoma State Regents Academic Scholar, a Nigh Leadership Academy participant, an Oklahoma Academy Town Hall participant and a 2025 Larry Stone Award winner. She was in the top 10 percent of her class and was on the President’s Honor Roll. Haney also served as president of the President’s Leadership Class, vice president of leadership for Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, treasurer for the Eastern Student Government Association and was also a member of the Mountaineer softball team, where she earned NJCAA Region 2 Second Team honors and was named Player of the Week for Week 13. Haney plans to attend Southeastern Oklahoma State University to earn a bachelor’s degree in social studies education with a minor in political science, followed by a master’s in educational policy. Her goal is to teach high school social studies and government in Oklahoma while preparing to run for public office, using her passion for education and civic engagement to create positive change.

Maebrey Wallace of Allen, Oklahoma, was named the Outstanding Graduate for the Agriculture Division. She was a member of the All-Oklahoma Academic Team, was on the President’s Honor Roll and was in the top 10 percent of her class. Wallace was also a member of the meat judging team and was named an American Meat Science Association All-American. She served as leadership and project coordinator for PLC and as reporter for the Aggie Club. Wallace was also a member of the Agricultural Ambassadors, PTK and ESGA. She was named a 2025 Outstanding Agricultural Communications Student, as well. Wallace plans to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communications at Oklahoma State University and enter the telecommunications field upon graduation.

Holly Wilson of Wilburton, Oklahoma, was named the Outstanding Graduate for the Nursing Program. She was a member of PTK and has accepted a job at Baptist Health–Fort Smith. Wilson plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Oklahoma Panhandle State University and eventually transition to a nursing education role.

Haylee Baker of Wilburton, Oklahoma, was named the Outstanding Graduate for the Behavioral and Social Science Division. She was a member of PLC and participated in the Denmark study abroad program. Baker was on the President’s Honor Roll and was in the top 10 percent of her class. She plans to continue her education at the University of Central Oklahoma and pursue a career in crime scene investigation.

Kennedy Edwards of Maysville, Oklahoma, was named the Outstanding Graduate for the Science and Mathematics Division. She was on the President’s Honor Roll and was in the top 10 percent of her class. Edwards served as vice president of service for PTK and vice president of the Math and Science Club. She was also named the 2025 Outstanding Pre-Veterinary Student for the Agriculture Division. Edwards was a member of the livestock judging team and the Aggie Club. She plans to continue her education at OSU, then proceed to dental school to become a maxillofacial surgeon.

Camden White of Choctaw, Oklahoma, was named the Outstanding Graduate for the Business Division. He was a member of PTK, the Business Club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. A pitcher for the Mountaineer baseball team, White earned NJCAA Region 2 Pitcher of the Week honors for Week 3 and helped lead the team to its first JUCO World Series appearance since 2001. He plans to continue his academic and athletic careers at St. Edward’s University, then pursue a career in technology sales.
