WILBURTON, Oklahoma – Eastern Oklahoma State College was recently recognized for its 15-year membership with the McAlester Defense Support Association during the organization's meeting held at Pete's Place in Krebs.
The recognition honors Eastern's longstanding commitment to supporting the defense community and cultivating partnerships that strengthen workforce development and economic growth throughout southeastern Oklahoma.
Members of the Eastern leadership team attended the annual meeting and accepted the recognition on behalf of the college. The event brought together community leaders, business partners, and regional stakeholders to receive updates on defense initiatives and celebrate organizations that have demonstrated continued support of MDSA's mission.
"Eastern Oklahoma State College values its partnership with the McAlester Defense Support Association and is honored to be recognized for 15 years of membership," said Dr. Randy Harp, EOSC president. "Collaborating with organizations like MDSA allows us to support the continued success of the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant and the surrounding communities while helping prepare students for meaningful careers in our region."
