WILBURTON, Okla. – Eastern Oklahoma State College President Dr. Janet Wansick announced Wednesday the promotion of Chris Hall to Dean of Agriculture, effective in May 2024.
"I am excited to elevate Chris Hall to his new position as the Dean of Agriculture,” Wansick said. “His passion for agricultural education and commitment to student success make him an excellent fit for the position. We believe Chris will lead our agriculture program to new heights, and we look forward to the positive impact he will continue to have on our students and the college as a whole. I would also like to thank Larriann Livingston for her years of service and dedication to the Eastern Agriculture Division and wish her the best in her new endeavor."
Hall brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. An Eastern alumnus, Hall has served the college as a faculty member since 2019 in multiple capacities, including as the head livestock judging coach.
"I am honored and excited to be named Dean of Agriculture,” Hall said. “I look forward to working with the talented faculty, staff, and students to continue the tradition of excellence in agricultural education here at Eastern. Together, we will explore new opportunities and ensure our graduates are well-prepared for success in the agricultural industry."
In addition to Hall's appointment, Wansick announced that Andrew Anderson will assume the role of Head Livestock Judging Coach, effective May 2024. Anderson has a strong background in livestock judging and has served as an agricultural instructor and assistant coach for the livestock judging team since July.
"I am grateful for the opportunity to lead the livestock judging program at Eastern,” Anderson said. “I look forward to continuing the program's legacy of success. This is an exciting time for Eastern's agriculture department, and I am honored to be a part of it."
