EOSC Coaches Davis, Parker receive commendation from Congressman Mullin

WILBURTON, Okla. – Eastern Oklahoma State College Head Women’s Basketball Coach Al Davis and Head Baseball Coach Matt Parker recently received a commendation from U.S. Representative Markwayne Mullin (OK-2) for their accomplishments during the 2020-2021 season.

“Coach Davis and Coach Parker are dedicated individuals who truly invest in their student-athletes and will surely leave a lasting impact on them,” Mullin said. “It was an honor to be able to recognize Coach Davis and Coach Parker’s achievements as Coach of the Year in their respective sports.”

Led by second-year Head Coach Davis, the Lady Mountaineer basketball team earned a share of the regular-season NJCAA Region 2 Championship, won the Region 2 Tournament and earned a spot in the NJCAA Tournament. These accomplishments earned Davis the NJCAA South Central District Coach of the Year award.

Parker’s Mountaineer baseball team won the regular-season NJCAA Region 2 Championship, the Region 2 Tournament and earned a spot in the NJCAA Tournament. These accomplishments earned Parker the NJCAA Region 2 Coach of the Year award.
