WILBURTON, Oklahoma – Three Eastern Oklahoma State College students and one incoming freshman were recognized for their academic achievements at the Oklahoma Association of Community Colleges All-Oklahoma Academic Team and OACC President's Tuition Waiver Award Ceremony on March 25 at the Oklahoma State Capitol.
Sophomore Geralyn Haney, of Stuart, Okla., was named to the 2025 Coca-Cola Academic Silver Team and the All-Oklahoma Academic Team. Haney, a standout student-athlete, is a member of the Eastern softball team, Phi Theta Kappa, the President's Leadership Class, and the Student Government Association. Her achievements place her among the top community college scholars in the state.
Sophomore Maebrey Wallace, of Allen, Okla., was named to the All-Oklahoma Academic Team. A dedicated student leader, Wallace is a member of the President's Leadership Class, serves as an Agricultural Ambassador, and is active in the Aggie Club and the meat judging team.
Freshman Trey Powell, of Stratford, Okla., received the OACC President's Tuition Waiver Award, recognizing his commitment to academic excellence and leadership. Powell serves as an Agricultural Ambassador and is a member of the Aggie Club and the soil judging team.
Incoming Eastern freshman Ashton Davis, a senior at Wilburton High School, was also awarded the OACC President's Tuition Waiver Award. Davis is an accomplished student-athlete, participating in baseball, the National Honor Society, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
The All-Oklahoma Academic Team recognizes top-performing community college students who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership. The OACC President's Tuition Waiver Award provides tuition support to outstanding students planning to continue their education at an Oklahoma community college.
