WILBURTON, Okla. – Eastern Oklahoma State College Director of Recruitment and Retention Hannah Truitt was recently named a NextGen Under 30 award winner.

“I am honored to receive this award alongside others in the state,” Truitt said. “I am proud to be a part of the next generation that is working toward building a better future. It’s one thing to do the work, but another thing entirely to be recognized for it. Thank you to my family, friends, co-workers, and community who have helped make this possible.”

Truitt was selected as one of 487 winners across 21 categories from all across Oklahoma.

“Hannah's impact extends beyond recruitment,” Eastern President Dr. Janet Wansick said. “She is a beacon of inspiration, advocating for educational excellence and community engagement. Her dedication to Eastern and its students exemplifies her commitment to fostering a brighter future for the region.”

NextGen Under 30 recognizes and encourages the next generation of innovative, creative, and inspiring individuals who push the boundaries in various categories of endeavor, according to the organization’s website. In addition, award winners are selected based upon their participation in and contribution to their communities. A panel of respected business and civic leaders serve as judges.

Truitt will be honored at the Oklahoma State Capitol on Sept. 9 and again at the NextGen Award Ceremony on Nov. 15.
