An experienced team of professionals provide leadership and oversight for the daily operations of Eastern Oklahoma State College. In addition, they are dedicated to fulfilling Eastern’s mission and vision for the future, while honoring the college’s traditions and history of academic excellence.
Dr. Randy Harp serves as the 21st President of Eastern Oklahoma State College, bringing more than 40 years of experience in higher education to the role. A dedicated advocate for student success and academic excellence, Harp has a deep-rooted connection to Eastern, having previously served as a faculty member and department head from 1984 to 1999, and later as Vice President for Academics and Development.
Throughout his career, Harp has held key leadership roles at institutions such as Tarleton State University and Texas A&M University-Commerce, where he served as Dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. His leadership has driven enrollment growth, expanded academic programs, and secured vital scholarships and resources for students.
Harp holds a doctoral degree in agricultural education and higher education administration and a master’s degree in animal science from New Mexico State University, along with a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Oklahoma State University.
He was appointed as President by the Eastern Board of Regents on May 12, 2025.
The President’s Leadership Class (PLC) at Eastern Oklahoma State College is a prestigious program designed for students who demonstrate outstanding leadership, academic excellence, and a commitment to service. Each year, only 12 students are selected to participate in this exclusive program.

The Board of Regents is the governing authority of Eastern Oklahoma State College. The Board is comprised of seven members who are appointed by the Oklahoma Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate. Members serve seven-year terms.
